ThesereneambianceofLiyueHarborwasonceagaindisrupted,notbyaformidablefoeoranimpendingdisaster,butbyaratherpeculiarseriesofeventsinvolvingtheever-diligentAdeptus,Ganyu,andtheever-unpredictableTraveler.Itallbeganonaseeminglyordinaryday.Thesuncastawarmglowoverthebustlingport,merchantshawkedtheirwares,andthegentlerhythmofdailylifehummedalong.Ganyu,asusual,wasmeticulouslyreviewingmountainsofpaperworkinherofficeattheYuehaiPavilion.Herdedicationwaslegendary,herfocusunwavering.Eachdocument,eachpetition,eachreportwashandledwiththeutmostcareandprecision.
TheTraveler,ontheotherhand,wasengagedinaratherenthusiasticsessionof…well,let’sjustsay"exploring."TheirusualinsatiablecuriosityhadledthemdownarabbitholeofpeculiarcontraptionsandforgottencornersofLiyue.Today’sparticularfixationinvolvedaratherlarge,somewhatunwieldy,andundeniablyspring-loadedcontraptionrumoredtohavebeeninventedbyaneccentricinventorfromInazuma.Thedevice,amagnificentifslightlymenacing,metallicmonstrosity,wasdesignedtolaunch…well,things.Theexactpurposewaslosttotimeandafewunfortunateincidents,butitspotentialforenthusiasticpropulsionwasundeniable.
